What with the world’s temperature on the rise, genuine ski holidays may well become a thing of the past at some point. Although there are some excellent resorts offering ski holidays in Italy that are picking up a lot of ski holiday trade due to being the highest resorts in Europe and so keeping hold of their snow when a lot of the rest of the world is beginning to lose track of its white stuff, at some point even the ski holiday paradises of Italy’s best will succumb to the inevitable as well.

So unless you want to spend the rest of your days sliding down dry ski slopes or artificial snow, the time to book that group ski holiday or family ski holiday that you’ve been planning for who knows how long is now. If you want to try out summer skiing, there are plenty of glacier resorts in Europe that can offer a summer ski holiday, but there are already reports of some of these, such as La Plagne, having to shut for the summer due to the glacier not being in a fit state to ski on. Such is the trouble with global warming and the ski holidays industry.

Although we can all have faith that human ingenuity will help solve this recreational nightmare, if you really want a genuine ski holiday and don’t want to have to settle for domestic options, now is the time to get together that group ski holiday that you’ve been dreaming about for so long.
