The statue of Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) always has its own charm. This statue is located at GWK Park, Jimbaran, Bali. If you visit Bali, the GWK is one of the sights worth a visit, because there you will be witnessing a miracle; the Miracle of Bali.
GWK statue plan was not like today. The whole picture is Vishnu riding the Garuda bird. The high will reach 130 feet, towering into the sky.
Giant statue of Vishnu and the Garuda was built since 1994, and has not been completed until today. It takes a huge amount of fund and hard work to complete this project. The government is still looking for a way to complete these huge satatues and put them together.
The fund to build the project still not included as priority in the local government’s budget. But hopefully, someday the project will be completed and become one of the Miracles of Bali. IF you have a chance to visit Bali, you have to come and see the statues for yourself. They are so big and you will be amazed by the craftsmanship of the artists who put their contribution in this project. Even though the project is not completed yet, the statues attract many tourists and they find the whole project is stunning.
